Daily Money Management found me in a very personal way, as a career born from looking after my own family. Raising a wonderful child with special needs taught me firsthand how vital trusted financial support can be, and years spent caring for our mothers gave my wife Sally and me a deep appreciation for the challenges seniors and their families navigate every day. Those experiences were equally challenging and meaningful, and they continue to shape the care we bring to this work. It is that same spirit that led us to build Ohana & Amigos around a small, dedicated team that treats every client like family.

If you or someone you love could use a little help getting finances organized and under control, I would love the chance to help.

I hold a degree in Accounting from the University of Arizona, which gave me a strong foundation in the financial principles central to daily money management. My background also includes several years as a Personal Trainer, work that grounded me in the kind of direct, people-first environment I value. After spending years post-COVID as a marketing and fundraising consultant, returning to that environment felt like the right move.  As an added bonus, I get to do so alongside my father, in service of people where having the right support in place can make all the difference.

I also serve as a Respite Care provider through Washington's Department of Social and Health Services, a natural extension of the same values that brought me to this work.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and spent ten years as a State Social Worker, where careful documentation, confidentiality, and coordination with families, schools, and community agencies were central to my work. That experience gave me a strong foundation for helping clients navigate complex systems, maintain stability, and connect with the right resources, and it translates naturally into supporting seniors, younger adults, and vulnerable individuals with financial organization and oversight.

In addition to my work as a DMM, I am also pursuing licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), reflecting my ongoing commitment to client-centered care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can't find what you're looking for? Feel free to reach out at randy@ohana-amigos.com

Everyone's needs are different. We begin with a free 45-minute consultation to figure out how you can best leverage our services. Depending on what works for you, we can meet you at home, work with you remotely, or tend to your affairs independently and send you a monthly summary for review. Since most bills come around once a month, it's usually a good idea to connect at least that often, but we will find what works best for you.

Daily Money Managers typically charge by the hour, though project-based rates are also an option. Our services may include non-DMM related work performed by subcontractors at a reduced rate. Invoices are sent monthly via email through QuickBooks, and we accept most major credit cards as well as electronic transfers.

Most likely not, and that's OK! Daily Money Managers work alongside accountants, attorneys, insurance agents, financial advisors, guardians, trustees, and care managers. Think of us as the person who helps manage your day-to-day finances and keeps everything organized, while connecting you with the right specialists when needed. We are not accountants, financial advisors, or attorneys, but we can serve as a fiduciary in roles such as Power of Attorney, Trustee, Guardian, or Executor — and we work closely with other professionals in those cases.
